आक्रोशित भीड़ ने माल्डा बाजार में पथराव और हंगामा किया. तनाव की स्थिति को देखते हुए धड़ाधड़ सभी दुकानें बंद हो गईं. पूरा माहौल गर्म हो गया. सूचना मिलने के बाद गावां पुलिस घटनास्थल पर पहुंची और आक्रोशित लोगों को समझा-बुझाकर मामले को शांत करवाने का प्रयास किया
